Bengals top pass rusher Hendrickson returns

On Thursday, U.S. time, the Bengals’ top pass rusher and defensive end Trey Hendrickson officially passed the concussion screening process and will play in this week’s playoffs against the Titans.

“He’s been through those moments,” Bengals coach Zac Taylor said. “He’s one of our best players, and it’s great to have him on the court.”

Hendrickson was injured in last week’s wild-card game before being added to the concussion screening process. But he has started limited training on Tuesday and has fully participated in Wednesday’s training.

Since signing a four-year, $60 million deal with the Bengals in the 2021 offseason, Hendrickson has sacked 14, breaking a Tigers record. Hendrickson’s return is encouraging news for the Bengals, who lost defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi.

A win against the Titans on Saturday would put the Tigers in their first AL Championship since 1988.
