The Jets added three good players in the first round of this year’s draft, but last year’s No. 2 pick, quarterback Zach Wilson, also deserves attention.

“Zach is in great shape,” Jets coach Robert Saleh said in an interview. “He’s doing a lot of strength training and he’s looking stronger. But he’s still able to pass the ball. Looks good.”

Wilson’s rookie season can’t be called outstanding, but he also showed some potential. Last season, Wilson passed for 2,334 yards, 9 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also rushed for 185 yards and 4 touchdowns.

In order to better help Wilson, the Jets made a lot of effort on offense. They signed guard Laken Tomlinson, tight ends C.J. Uzomah and Tyler Conklin, and drafted wide receiver Garrett Wilson and Tyler Conklin. Running back Breece Hall.
