On Thursday, US time, ESPN reporters reported that the Rams will sign wide receiver Allen Robinson to a three-year, $45 million contract, which includes a $30 million guarantee.
The Rams still have cap space left and are also trying to keep wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. Beckham suffered a knee injury in the Super Bowl and may be too late to start the 2022 season. After joining the Rams, Beckham participated in 8 regular season games and 4 playoff games, completed 48 catches, advanced 593 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Robinson signed a three-year, $42 million contract with the Bears in 2018 and received over 1,000 yards in both the 2019 and 2020 seasons, but the Bears failed to complete long-term contract negotiations with him before the 2021 season. The Bears did not use the franchise tag on him this year, and Robinson had to enter the free market to test the waters.
In eight seasons, Robinson had 495 catches for 6,409 yards and 40 touchdowns.
