Tom Brady says he will continue to play next season

US time on Sunday, quarterback Tom Brady (Tom Brady) announced via Twitter that he will return to the NFL and continue to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season.

Brady wrote: “Over the past two months, I have realized that I still belong on the court, not the stands. The day will come, but not now. I love my teammates and my family who support me. They are them. Make it possible. I’ll be back in Tampa Bay for my 23rd season.”

Only 40 days have passed since Brady announced his retirement.

Brady led the Pirates to the Super Bowl in 2020 and won the NFC South last season. He previously spent 20 years with the Patriots, winning six Super Bowls with head coach Bill Belichick.

Brady’s individual performance in 2021 was excellent: passing for 5,316 yards, 43 touchdowns, and only 12 interceptions. But the Pirates eventually lost to the Rams and stopped in the playoffs.
